Thank you Bond community in helping to close the literacy gap

The Bond community came out to listen to the Indigenous Living Poetry Narrative

Tis the season for giving ... Library Services along with the Nyombil Indigenous Support Centre would like to thank the Bond community in raising $541.00 for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation - which will help provide books and literacy programs to remote Aboriginal communities where they are needed most.

Bond University’s Indigenous Living Poetry Narrative - September 19th -  2017

The Indigenous Living Poetry Narrative was a recent collaboration from Bond University’s Library Services and the Nyombil Indigenous Support Centre.  This campfire-like poetry recital celebrated the poetic works of women from Bond Library's growing Indigenous writers collection.  During the hour of 'poetic power' – money was raised for the ILF from the sale of artist designed bookmarks by Nyombil's Cultural Support Officer - Narelle Urquhart.
