October 16, 2017

Would you like a unique Researcher ID which comes with your very own portable site where all your research outputs are listed, can be kept entirely private or shared with others and requires very little effort to set up?

You are ready to have an ORCID iD!

What is ORCID?

ORCID is an international, open and not-for-profit registry of unique researcher identifiers.

ORCID has the support of some of the world's largest publishers, funders and institutions and is on track to being the single identifier for researchers worldwide. If you have only one identifier it should be an ORCiD iD.

What is an ORCID iD?

An ORCID iD is a unique researcher identification number that will distinguish you from other researchers and ensure that all of your research activities can be easily associated with you (and not someone else with a similar name).

As a researcher at Bond University with an ORCID iD you will be joining a growing national and international registry.  Your ORCID iD can be embedded into manuscript submissions, grant applications and the University’s Pure research management system workflows for ease of information transfer within and outside of Bond University.

Research Week 2017

Library Services will be staffing a ORCID booth in the foyer areas of selected Research Week events to provide information and encouragement to join this worldwide researcher ID service.

Visiting the ORCID booth will be an opportunity for Bond University academic staff and HDR students to join ORCID and set up their unique ORCID iDs.

Having an ORCID iD will assist each faculty researcher manage all their research publications and the best news is that ORCID registration is easy and free.

Come along and find out how having an ORCID iD can assist you in managing your research profile and outputs.

We look forward to meeting you!
