Services for alumni & visitors

Access

An access card is required to enter library spaces and a parking permit is required to park your car on campus.

Alumni must visit Security to obtain a parking permit and an access card. This will enable entry to:

  • Main Library
  • Law Library
  • MLC

Visitors from other Universities must arrange a time to visit the Main Library to obtain an access card, phone +61 7 5595 3550 to arrange an appointment. Ensure you bring photo ID and proof of enrolment for students and proof of employment for staff. The access card will enable entry to:

  • Main Library
  • Law Library

To obtain a parking permit, phone Security on +61 5595 1234.

Getting to Bond

Other visitors and High School students do not currently have access to the Campus or buildings.

Borrowing

Alumni of Bond University can borrow from the John & Alison Kearney Main and Law Libraries at no charge. Bring proof of your graduation to the Library Service Desk.

Renewals

Items are automatically renewed for up to 28 days, unless the item has a hold request.

Overdue loans

Demerit points accrue for overdue loans. At 10 points your borrowing privileges will be suspended. You will not be able to borrow if you have overdue loans.

Replacement costs will be charged if items are deemed lost/long overdue.

To view your current or past loans and renew eligible loans, sign in to your library account. Contact the library if you need your password reset.

Bond University is a member of University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ) -- an international borrowing scheme, which allows staff and students of Australian and New Zealand Universities to register and borrow from Bond University Library.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, community borrowing from Bond University libraries has been suspended.

Licensing restrictions mean that Bond University Library is unable to provide Alumni and most visitors with access to the Internet and electronic resources available to current Bond University students and staff. Eduroam logo

Eduroam is available across campus at Bond University. It enables visitors from participating institutions to gain secure access to the Internet and their own library's online collections.

Please note that the campus is limiting building access to current students and staff during the pandemic.
