Requesting items from other libraries just got easier

July 7, 2021

The Library has updated the Library Search interface to make it easier to request items the library doesn't have physically or online. When you find an item we don't have, you will see the improved requesting options.

For a book, you will be able to request a physical copy for loan or a digital chapter to download. Often you will see estimated delivery times as well, for example, with book chapters you can expect a fast 24 hour turnaround time (excluding weekends).

For a journal article, you will see the option to receive a digital copy, most of these will be supplied to you within 24 hours of requesting (excluding weekends).

If you ever wanted to know where your request was up to, you can now track its progress on the Requests page of your Library Search account. For article or chapter requests you can download it from here too (we will also send you an email with a link to download).
